When viewed from outer space, the Sun is white. The reason the Sun appears yellow, orange, or red to us on Earth is because the Earth's several atmospheric layers contain elements and chemicals that disperse and scatter certain wavelengths of light in a process called Rayleigh Scattering.
The human mind filters truth like the Earth's atmosphere filters light. When we observe the world around us, we often do so with a perspective that is biased by prior beliefs. As a result, we don't see things as they actually exist—we see things how we would like to see them.
